INTRODUCTION:
Artists use texture in their art in many different ways. Look around where you are right now. Actual texture refers to what an object feels like, or the actual surface of an object. Implied texture refers to an image that is made to look like a certain texture. What real or implied texture do see? Brainstorm with your family what other kinds of textures there are. MATERIALS: Paper - a piece of printer paper works great! Crayon Markers - optional LEARN + CREATE! Idea 1 - Below you will find a fun texture song video and a video of me looking for textures and a texture rubbing activity video! Idea 2 - Draw or paint something and then add texture rubbings in or around your artwork, like the cheetah artwork to the left. Do an "eye spy" texture game like "I spy something fluffy", or "I spy something rough". SHARE: Take a photo and email me! I would love to see your creation! [email protected] |
