INTRODUCTION:
There are a lot of ways artists use line in their artwork. For this project, we will use the lines we already know to create a symmetrical piece of art. MATERIALS: - Paper - Tape - Markers, crayons, oil pastels, or chalk. Whatever drawing materials you have will work! LEARN + CREATE! First, what kinds of lines are there? How many can you remember? Tell someone at your house and ask if they can think of any others. Heather Hansen is a contemporary artist who makes large scale artworks. She actually sits, stands, or lays on her paper. She is the line of symmetry, and she mirrors what she draws on one side with the other side. Sometimes she turns her process into a performance and people will watch her create! Learn more about Heather Hansen in the video to the left, and then watch my video to see how I created my artwork inspired by her. Then you can create your own! SHARE: Take a photo and email me! I would love to see your creation! [email protected] |
